Young Republicans

The Young Republican Club was very active throughout the first semester of this school year. We informed students about topics such as Veterans Day and Pearl Harbor Day through our bulletin board and will continue to do so throughout the rest of the school year.

Our members sold pizza during Homecoming Carnival, which gave us the money needed to buy new flags for our displays during patriotic holidays. Vice President Kamden Jensen added holes to the flags using a grommet so we can use them during this semester. Secretary London Montalto and our sponsor, Mrs. Keith, attended Wreaths Across America in December, where we lay wreaths on the graves of veterans and say their name so they will not be forgotten. We also wrote notes in cards to veterans expressing our gratitude for their service at our October meeting. Finally, we participated in the Holiday Door Decorating Contest, with President Nathan Winquist designing the door.

2026 marks 250 years since our country declared independence from Great Britain and we have plans to celebrate this historic milestone in our nation’s history. Additionally, we plan on informing students about the upcoming midterm elections in November.

Our upcoming meetings are February 6th, March 6th, April 3rd, and May 1st in Mr. Griffith’s room, C-9. by Nathan Windquist
