STEP 6: Check Your FalconMail & Get Your DSC ID Number
All registration questions and confirmations will be sent to your DSC student email. Memorize or put your DSC student number into the notes on your phone as you will need that to get books and register moving forward. Visit the school media center once you have received confirmation of your enrollment to check out your textbooks. Continue to check your FalconMail weekly. Contact the DSC help desk for technical questions and account problems. 386-506-3950
STEP 7: Get Your Books and Access Codes from the SCHS Media Center
Once you have a confirmed schedule for DSC, you will visit the online DSC bookstore to determine what materials you will need for your classes. You can use your DSC ID to create an account and it will automatically pull your schedule and show you what you need. One week before courses start, visit the Spruce Creek High media center with screenshots or the website pulled up showing what you need to get your materials or to receive a voucher to purchase them from the DSC bookstore if we do not have the materials available. All DSC materials, including those you pick up from the DSC bookstore with a voucher, are returned to the SCHS media center within one week of the end of the course or you will be charged for them.
STEP 8: Take the Classes and Move Forward With Your Future!
Things to Consider Before Signing Up for Dual Enrollment
- You will be a college student and you will need to communicate with DSC when you need their assistance.
- Dual enrolled students are limited to 2 fully online courses per 15-week semester.
- New dual enrollment students can only start during Fall or Spring semesters, not the summer.
- All courses taken at DSC will become a part of the student's permanent college transcript.
- Course materials and class discussions may involve mature topics not typically included in secondary courses. Courses are not modified to accommodate variations in student age and maturity. You will be in classes with DSC students of all ages, including adults.
- DSC professors and advisors can only communicate with the student, not the parent.
- We do not recommend students duplicating potential credit you are earning from AP or IB classes on campus. If you are involved in AP or IB and want to add DSC classes, be sure to research what credit your chosen colleges offer for your AP and IB test scores before choosing DSC classes.
