AITR classes meet 5th-7th period on campus to allow flexibility in movement between rooms for various projects. You will take all other courses 1st-4th period. You can choose to follow the programming path or the robotics path after 9th grade. Students may dual enroll while in AITR as long as their schedule does not conflict with being on campus 5th-7th period. 

9th Grade

• Foundations of Programming Honors: This path introduces concepts, techniques, and processes associated with computer programming and software development. 
• Foundations of Robotics Honors: This path provides students with a foundation in content and skills associated with robotics and automation, including artificial intelligence, electronics, physics, and principles of engineering. 
• Research 1: This is a hands-on course where you will work on projects based on content learned in the other courses.  

10th Grade

• Procedural Programming Honors OR Robotic Design Essentials Honors: These courses continue the instruction started in the intro courses for the chosen path. 
• Research 2: This is a hands-on course where you will work on projects based on content learned in the other courses. 
• Financial Literacy: This is a graduation requirement (not an academy course) that you can choose to take online as an 8th period to make room to take both the programming and robotics classes if you choose. 

11th Grade

• Object Oriented Programming Fundamentals Honors OR Robotic Systems Honors
• Research 3: This is a hands-on course where you will work on projects based on content learned in the other courses. 
• AP Computer Science Principles

12th Grade

• Java Programming Essentials Honors OR Robotics Applications Keystone Honors
• Research 4: This is a hands-on course where you will work on projects based on content learned in the other courses. 
• AP Computer Science A

RECT Pre- Engineering and Robotics

This academy focuses on problem solving and critical thinking skills in an environment with a heavy emphasis on research and independent learning. We focus on public speaking, research, time management and more. These skills combined with the tech skills in programming, CAD, the design cycle, and general trade schools prepare students for any number of high tech industries. Students could pursue higher education and focus on engineering or they could pursue a vocational path in IT. The options are endless!
