And Our Volunteer of the Month Is Miss Jennifer Schwarz, a Former Miss Spruce Creek who assists students with conversational Spanish and helps out in our music department.
Congratulations to the varsity Boys Soccer Team for finishing 3rd place in the Hickory Point Invitational. The Hawks went 3-1 in the tourney and the highlight was a penalty kick shootout victory over Kissimmee Osceola. Pete Mandell and John Burns were named to the All Tournament Team.
Congratulations to the JV Lady Hawks Basketball Team for their victory over Lake Brantley. It was a great effort by all and the JV team's record is now 11 and 1.
Congratulations to the JV Lady Hawks basketball team as they continue to dominate on the courts by beating the Seabreeze Sandcrabs. Freshmen Ashley Smith and Mackenzie Trujillo combined for 33 points.
The Spruce Creek Envirothon team of Rosemary Kelley, Eric Rose, Garrett Miller, Teri Deardorff, and Corey Breaux Placed first in the county competition. They will compete at the state Envirothon in April at Myakka State Park.

Congratulations to the JV Lady Hawks Basketball Team for their impressive win against the district rival Deland Bulldogs. The lady hawks were led by freshmen Ashley Smith and Mackenzie Trujillo.
The English Department congratulates all of the participants in the Poetry Out Loud Contest. our top five winners were Sydney Levy, Kristy Kim, Connie Darrisaw, Gabriel Savage, and Daisy Layman. They will go on to compete in the Poetry Out Loud contest held at the Volusia County Literacy Fair on May 12th. Sydney Levy, the top scorer will go to Tallahassee in March to compete in the state Poetry Out Loud Contest. We wish her the best of luck, and hope she makes it to the national contest in Washington, D.C.
