The showdown is set for next Monday night in our Media Center.  We're playing the other two unbeaten teams, DeLand and New Smyrna Beach.  Our four-time-defending league champion team has the home field advantage and you're invited.  Match play begins at 5pm February 6.

Internet Safety Training
Please join Volusia County Schools for a free informational training on Cyberbullying and Internet Safety by Dr. Jan McGee. Dr. McGee is an Educator and Principal for over 32 years, a national presenter on Bullying, Cyberbullying, Conflict Resolution, Peer Mediation & Positive, Safe & Healthy Schools will present the latest research & practical information on Internet Safety & Cyberbullying. The training is offered February 7, 2012 from 6:30-7:30 p.m. in the Mainland High School Media Center or February 8, 2012 from 6:30-7:30 p.m. in the Deland Middle School Media Center.

Congratulations to the Lady Hawks Varsity Soccer Team for their 4-0 shutout over Jacksonville Mandarin last night. The Lady Hawks are now in the regional semi-finals for the second year in a row!

 


Volusia Virtual School Offers Students Flexibility
Through Volusia Virtual School, students now have increased options to meet high school requirements.  The district-based virtual school is flexible and designed to meet both part-time and full-time needs of students.  Students can enroll in one class or up to a full day.  They can also combine their virtual classes with Dual Enrollment at Daytona State College.  All Volusia Virtual options lead to a Volusia County Schools high school diploma, awarded from Spruce Creek High School.
