Graduation Fees Due
Graduation Fee (this fee pays for your cap and gown and other graduation
related expenses). Please make checks payable to Spruce Creek High School
for $55.00 and pay the Activities Director. Graduation fees not paid this week will
increase to $60.00 March 24 - 27 and again to $65.00 beginning April 7th.
Graduation fees not paid by April 7th will become an obligation.
Caps and Gowns Distributed
Caps and Gowns are currently availble the activities office.
April 28: Graduation Ticket Orders
Listen to the announcements for when we will begin to accept requests for additional tickets to Graduation. All Seniors automatically will receive 10 tickets. However, if you will need more, please submit your requests in April to Mrs. Montgomery in the Main Office. Tickets are required to attend graduation but there is no charge for the tickets.
May 9: Senior Slide Show/Yearbook Signing Party
The afternoon will begin at 4 PM in the auditorium with a slide show of candid senior photos. Yearbooks will be distributed at the end of the slide show. You must have purchased your yearbook in advance. The evening will continue until 6 PM in the cafeteria with pizza and everyone signing each other’s yearbook. Students MUST present their ID to get their Yearbook.
May 10: Prom at ICI Center 8pm-Midnight
Tickets will go on sale in late April. All obligations must be paid and detentions and Saturday school served in order to purchase a ticket. All NON-SCHS guests must be pre-approved by Administration in order to attend our Prom. Students and Guests MUST present their ID with their ticket to get in to the Prom.

NOTE: Seniors enrolled in Algebra II (regular or honors) will take the district end-of-course exam on Monday, 5/19/08, in the media center during their regular math period. Seniors who have Algebra II 4th or 7th period will need to report to the media center at the beginning of 3rd or 6th period, respectively, due to the length of the exam. Upon finishing their exam, they will be sent to class on a pass. If their math exam causes them to miss their visual/performing arts exam that day, they will need to make arrangements with their teacher to make up the exam they missed, preferably that same day.
For example:
1st period Algebra II exam – 70 minutes
2nd period Dance exam – missed due to math exam
5th period – make up Dance exam w/ teacher permission
May 19: Senior Awards Program
Senior Awards Program will be held Monday, May 19 at 7pm at
First Baptist Church of Daytona, 118 N.Palmetto Ave in Daytona Beach. Even though everyone won't recive an award, everyone is invited to attend and share in the accomplishments of the senior class.
(Students are to arrive by 6:00pm dressed in cap and gown and honor chords, if applicable.)
May 20: Baccalaureate
Baccalaureate will be held at the First Baptist Church of Daytona Beach, 118 N. Palmetto Avenue, at 7:00 P.M. This inspirational event is planned and produced by the Parent Advisory Committee. Students must arrive by 6:30 PM dressed in cap and gown with honor cords (if applicable) and report to the lobby area to line up. This is an optional event.
May 21: IB Banquet
The International Baccalaureate banquet will be held May 21 at 7 PM at the Daytona Beach Hilton in Daytona Beach
May 22: Senior Breakfast Updated 4/7/08
The Senior Breakfast is the last time for the seniors to enjoy each other’s company on campus. The breakfast is held in our cafeteria at 8 :30 AM. There is no charge. However, senior dues must be paid in advance in order to attend.
May 23: Graduation Rehearsal 10 am
Graduation Practice will be at 10 A.M. at the Ocean Center. All students must provide their own transportation. This is a mandatory practice for all seniors planning to participate in the Graduation ceremony. Attendance is mandatory to participate in Graduation ceremony.
May 25: G R A D U A T I O N ! Class of 2008!
Graduation Ceremony - will be held at the Ocean Center at NOON.
Seniors should report to their assigned room at the Ocean Center by 11:00 A.M. dressed in cap and gown, ready to line up for the processional.
Our graduation is on the Sunday of Memorial Day weekend in Daytona Beach, Florida. This means if you have guests planning to attend your graduation ceremony, they should have already booked their hotels and flights, as these are selling out fast. Please advise your guests Do not delay! in making these arrangements.
Parking is limited at the Ocean Center, and there are many construction areas to deal with. All Seniors and their guests are asked to keep this in mind and plan accordingly so that you arrive on time for Graduation. Doors will be closed at 11:45am and guests will not be admitted until after the graduates have entered the Ocean Center and the ceremony has begun.
