Nearly eighty Class 5A football teams started the season.  Only 16 remain.   The 2004 Hawks become only the 2nd Creek team in school history to advance to Round 2 of the state football playoffs.

In a game that was carried live on local radio station WELE, the Hawks defeated a tough Buchholz team Thursday night at Citizen's Field in Gainesville.  Buchholz  (8-2) was the Region 1 District 2 Champion.  Next week, Creek will play Fletcher High School at Neptune Beach (Jacksonville).  Fletcher beat Flagler in Round 1. 

Jonate' Govan ran for a single game SCHOOL RECORD 376 yds and scored 4 more TD's.  (note: published reports list Jonate's total rush yardage at 357 based on calculations made at the game.  Upon viewing the tape, the coaching staff has modified this to 376 yds.)  Jonate's school record ranks as 2nd in a State Playoff Game.
