James Nunnelee
Head Coach 1989
Coach Nunnelee was the sixth Head Football Coach at Spruce Creek at the age of 33.   Coach Nunnelee graduated from Auburn University.  He then became an assistant coach at Lanier High School in Montgomery, Ala. (his alma mater).  He then became the offensive line coach at Pennsacola Pine Forrest High School, spending two years there.  He then became the defensive coordinator at Columbia High School in Lake City, spending three years there.  Both Pine Forrest and Columbia were Class 5A playoff contenders each year Coach Nunnelee was there.

The Hawks were 1-9 in 1989.
