Gary Meadows
Head Coach:  February 2006 to January 2008

Coach Meadows  became the fifteenth Head Football Coach at Spruce Creek in February 2006 after former head coach Jared Zito resigned to accept a job in Georgia. 

In his second year as head coach at Spruce Creek, Coach Meadows led the Hawks to the second most wins (9)  in a single season in school history resulting in a 3rd round state playoff regional championship game berth. This stat does not include the tiebreaker win over Deltona & Sandalwood resulting in Spruce Creek becoming the District Runner Up.  Spruce Creek finished ranked 7th in the state.

Coach Meadows was selected as the 2007 DBNJ Coach of the Year.

Since 1995, Coach Meadows has served as an assistant coach at various Volusia County High Schools including: Atlantic, Spruce Creek, New Smyrna and DeLand.  During the  2004 & 2005 seasons  he served as the Defensive Coordinator at Spruce Creek.

He served as an assistant coach at Immokalee High School (in southwest Florida) from 1988 until becoming the head coach there from1993-1994.

Coach Meadows resigned in January 2008 to take a position at DeLand.
