05/14/18 Remaining Graduation Tickets on sale- Beginning May 14 at 7 AM in Ms. Nordstrom's office, any remaining graduation admission tickets will be sold on a first come, first serve basis. Graduation tickets will not be sold at the Ocean Center on graduation day.
06/01/18

Senior Breakfast at the Bandshell: 7:00am to 7:45 am.

Bring a chair, blanket or towel and enjoy your complimentary Chick Fil A breakfast with your fellow classmates before graduation practice.  Everyone should plan to leave the bandshell area at 7:45am and head to the Ocean Center for practice.

06/01/18

Graduation Practice – MANDATORY, (students only)

Will be at 8:00am at the Ocean Center.  All students must
provide their own transportation.  This is a required practice for all seniors planning to participate in the Graduation ceremony.

Students who do not attend this practice may not walk at Graduation. Do not wear your cap and gown.

06/02/18

Graduation

Will be held at the Ocean Center at 12:30PM.   Seniors should report to their assigned area at the Ocean Center by 11:30AM, dressed in cap and gown, to line up for the processional.  The graduation ceremony will last approximately 90 minutes, and it may take up to an hour to exit the Daytona Beach area.

All guests must have a ticket.  Tickets will NOT be sold at the door. 

 

    • MALE graduates MUST wear a white shirt, black tie, black dress pants, black dress shoes, and black socks under the gown. 
    • FEMALE graduates must wear an outfit that does not extend below the gown or interfere with the neckline, black or navy shoes with a medium-height heel under the gown.
    • Only the cord, sash, pin, or similar item that can be worn by the graduates to our graduation ceremonies are those that will be distributed by Spruce Creek High School.  We are certainly proud of the many other recognitions earned by our graduates from outside schools, groups, or organizations.  However, these outside items will not to be permitted to be worn to our graduation ceremonies
    • Small cameras, binoculars and cell phones may be carried loosely or in an approved clear bag
  • Seniors without textbook or other school obligations, will recieve thier diplomas after the graduation ceremony.
  • Meet your graduate on the east side of Ocean Center after the ceremony. 
  • Dean Stewart Photography will take a professional photo of each graduate.

      Bag Policy: Important Information for Those Attending Graduation

      • Each ticket holder, including children may carry an approved clear bag and a clutch :
        One clear bag no larger than 12" x 6" x 12" or a one-gallon clear Ziploc, or similar bag.
        One small clutch bag or purse no larger than 6.5" x 6.5" with or without a strap.
      • Diapers and wipes may be carried in a clear bag; however diaper bags are not permitted.
      • Additional clothing, blankets, etc. are permitted if carried loosely (preferably over the shoulder to be screened more quickly) or in an approved clear bag.
      • Small cameras, binoculars and cell phones may be carried loosely or in an approved clear bag.

       

 

Traffic Alert

This year the City of Daytona Beach and the Daytona International Speedway will be hosting a Truck Meet Event within the city limits of Daytona Beach. This event is scheduled for June 1 -3, 2018 and is expected to bring several thousand visitors to our beaches. It is understood that this event also conflicts with several of the Volusia County School's Graduations that are scheduled to be held at the Ocean Center.

The Daytona Beach Police Department is requesting school officials, parents, and participants to utilize the Main Street Bridge to assist in maintaining efficient traffic movement.

Please note that there will be no trucks allowed over the Main Street Bridge. The Daytona Beach Police Department will have officers posted on each side of the Main Street Bridge to monitor and prevent traffic congestion.


 

Parking for graduation is available at the Ocean Center and surrounding parking lots. Guest will pay $5.00 to park. Carpooling is HIGHLY recommended. All seniors and guests are asked to plan accordingly so that you arrive on time for Graduation. Doors will close at 12:30PM and guest will not be admitted untill after the graduates have entered the Ocean Center and the ceremony begun.
