Freshman Orientation 2009

Freshman Orientation is scheduled for Thursday, August 13. Orientation is divided into two sessions, and parents are encouraged to attend:

Freshman (A-L) - 8am to 11am
Freshman (M-Z) - 12pm to 3pm

 F.U.S.E.*, purchase lockers, obtain IDs

The freshman students should arrive by the starting time for their last name and will attend FUSE* Orientation first and then begin tours of the school in small groups. During this tour, Freshmen will be led to the various stations where they may get their IDs, purchase lockers and PE uniforms. PE uniforms will also be sold during the first week of school.

PE shirts are $8 and shorts are $12. Lockers can be rented for $10.00, and Class Dues are $1.00. Please be prepared to pay either in cash, or by check made payable to Spruce Creek High School. If you are unable to attend at the designated time, items may be purchased the first day of school. Friends may not purchase items for you in your absence; however, your parents or another adult with written permission from your parents may do so on your assigned date and time only.

Students will receive their first Spruce Creek High School ID free of charge. ID's must be kept throughout enrollment at Creek. Replacement ID's will be $10. Students are required to have their student identification card (ID) whenever on campus. This includes all extracurricular activities, field studies and traveling on the school bus to and from school. Students will be required to display/wear their ID to obtain a pass to leave class. * F.U.S.E. (Forging Unity & Seeking Education) is an opportunity for Freshmen to meet Senior students and fellow classmates.

Final class schedules will be picked up the first day of school during Advisement at the beginning of the school day. The first day of school students must refer to the 9th grade schedule posted on the walls, find the first three letters of their last name in alphabetical order, and report to the room number listed.
