Policies and Procedures
  • CIRCULATION POLICY
    • Cards Required: School Picture ID or Driver’s License
      • Book Limit
        Four (4) Books
      • Check Out Duration
        Two (2) Weeks
      • Overdue Fines
        $.05 per book, per school day
      • Renewals
        Additional 2 weeks
  • PASS POLICY
    • There must be an “identifiable” purpose for attending the media center. Everyone is encouraged to contribute to an atmosphere that can be conducive for studying, reading and learning.
    • Officially printed passes only, completed in ink by the teacher, and school ID are required when classes are in session.
    • Unless stated by the teacher to return to class, students will remain in the media center until the bell rings.
    • The "COMPUTER LAB PASS" is required all day, including the lunch period. This pass must indicate the teacher's assignment.
    • No more than 2 students per class are accepted and each must have an individual pass.
    • Substitute teachers cannot write passes to the media center.
  • SIGN IN PROCEDURES
    • Each student on a pass must sign in the PASS LOG BINDER at the pass desk. Students must keep passes and make sure media staff signs them upon exiting to return to class.
  • ONLINE COMPUTER USAGE
    • “Internet Access Policy & Computer Code of Conduct” signed by student and parent indicating understanding of District policies and parent's permission for students to access the Internet must be on file in the media center. Student’s ID card is “notched” verifying parent permission form is on file.
    • Internet Access Policy and Computer Code of Conduct PDF Form. Once on file, this form is good for all the years the student attends Spruce Creek High School.
  • MEDIA OBLIGATIONS
    • Lost books and fines must be paid prior to further transactions.
  • PRINTING COSTS
    • Copy Machine
      • $.15 per page
    • Network Printing; Typing Paper
      • $.05 Per Page
  • MEDIA SELECTION
    • Students and teachers are encouraged to recommend books, periodicals, and non-print titles for purchase. Conscientious efforts are always made to honor these requests
