Tutoring

We are pleased to offer two assistance programs for students. Help Sessions are for students who need assistance or extra help on any school work they may be doing - projects, research, term papers, studying for tests, etc.

The Learn at Lunch program is aimed primarily at students who need support with reading and math skills, although anyone can attend if they wish. Students are usually referred to attend with a Learning Prescription from a teacher.

Testing Tips: Before the Test

• Go to bed early the night before the test. You will think more clearly after a good night's rest.
• Eat a good breakfast. Food in your system will give you energy to take the test.
• Relax! Most people get nervous when taking a test. It's natural. Just do your best.

Testing Tips: During the Test

• Read each problem carefully and think about ways to solve a problem before you try to answer the question.
• Answer questions you are sure about first. If you do not know that answer to a question, skip it and go back later.
• Think positively. Some problems may seem hard, but you may be able to figure it out if you read each question carefully.
• When you have finished each problem, reread it to be sure that your answer is reasonable.
• Make sure that the number of the question on the answer sheet matches the number of the question you are working on in your test booklet.
