Join AOF!
To meet the AOF staff and to pick up an application in person, join us at the High School Showcase on December 8, 2011 at the Volusia County Fairgrounds. Applications must be returned by January 20, 2012. Applications turned in after the January 20 deadline may not be considered. Current VCS middle school students should complete the application and return it to us.
[Students who have most recently been enrolled in a private school or home school setting or are current SCHS students should complete both the application and three teacher recommendations.]
2012 Dates:
January 12, 2012: SCHS Information Night
January 20, 2012: Deadline for applications
February 17, 2012: Letters of notification sent out
March 16, 2012: Students must declare intent to join
Student eligibility is determined by such factors as academic performance, attendance, and conduct. There is a cap on out of zone students. Entrance to the Academy of Finance is limited to 9th and 10th grades based on space availability.
Completion of the Academy of Finance helps to prepare students for post-secondary education, not only in finance-related majors, but also for any program requiring a strong foundation in business, social studies, math, and language arts.
